Robert Barry: Town Councillor for Kenilworth Park Hill
“I joined the Green Party in 2019 because inaction is not an option”
I have lived in Kenilworth since 2005 and I have recently retired from a finance role with the NHS in Coventry. My career history has been varied ranging from software engineer to teacher via various Youth hostel jobs.
I enjoy an active lifestyle, using a bicycle locally to get around town and the county, but I also spent a year cycling in South America which was a very enriching experience. For 30 years I have run competitively and I am currently a member of Kenilworth Runners. I also have a young border collie who joins me on regular litter picks and visits to the allotment.
I volunteer with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, and I am currently involved in the Dunsmore Living Landscape project which is looking to improve the landscape to protect and encourage biodiversity.
I am also a long-term supporter of Cycling UK, Amnesty International and Greenpeace.
Why the Green Party?
We are all aware of the need to protect our environment for our future wellbeing and I joined the Green Party in 2019 because inaction is not an option.
