Why the Greens?
I have chosen to stand as a candidate for the Green Party as they share my values; those of fairness, transparency, integrity, care and respect for all in society. I want to be able to do more to help those in my community.
In the Local Community
I have been working with the Green Party in South Leamington for a year and a half and have lived in Willes for 19yrs.
I am a Primary School Teacher who after 8yrs in mainstream education moved into Special Education, teaching locally. I specialise in Science, Art and Design and Music. I am interested in the areas of cultural diversity, equal opportunities, nature and biodiversity and the essentiality of mental health and wellbeing.
Since 2013, I have been a promoter of local musicians also working with local businesses. In 2019, I became the Music Director for Art in the Park. The opportunity to create an atmosphere which enhances good mental health and well-being is something I am passionate about.
I also volunteer at the Sydni Centre and have recently become a Trustee. As a parent and a teacher, one of my main priorities is to provide opportunities for children and young adults to feel safe, confident, included and happy.
