Amy Evans: District Councillor for Brunswick
I was inspired to become involved in Warwick District Green Party as I was so impressed by the commitment, integrity and achievements of Green Councillors Ian Davison, Janet Alty and Jonathan Chilvers.
I joined the Green Party in 2015 and was an active member in Stratford Upon Avon before moving here in 2017. I live with my partner and have just become a mother.
I wanted to become a Councillor to try and help with matters such as reducing traffic congestion and air pollution locally.
I work in a Learning Centre in Leamington, helping adults of all ages with Further Education and personal/developmental learning. I am passionate about education and mental health issues.
Having struggled with my own mental health for 20 years I know how important it is that we hold onto services that offer support and talking therapies as mental health problems are on the increase.
I want to work to support our local services such as Community Centres that have such a vital role in our local community.
