Carl Harris - Candidate for Leamington Town Council

"I support the local Green Party because I could see how engaged their council members and volunteers are in our community"

I support the local Green Party because I could see how engaged their council members and volunteers are in our community, dealing with problematic issues such as waste collection, fly tipping and road safety and working on initiatives to improve the neighbourhood, including the Rushmore Street canal-side garden, where I first met Will and Ella.

I was born and raised in Willes Ward and have lived in the area for much of my life and I love its diversity and vibrancy. I think we can all work to make it even better and so play our part in making the world a more tolerant and sustainable planet - after all, it is the only one most of us are ever going to know!

If I am elected onto the town council I will work: to represent the concerns of my neighbours and fellow citizens; to engage with initiatives furthering the improvement and attractiveness of the town to residents and visitors; to actively reach out to our twin towns in France and Germany to further enrich the cultural life of our town.
