Kyn Aizlewood
Born and raised in Coventry, I’m married, with two adult children and I have lived in the Warwickshire village of Burton Green for the last 22 years. I gained a Masters degree, in Health Economics from York University, in 1984 and I have spent all of my working life with the NHS.
After successful careers in a leadership consultancy and working as a Director for the NHS in London, I have also trained as a professional coach. I’m expecting that these life-skills of listening, establishing common interests and working with other people, will equip me well in the role of Councillor. This is the first time I have stood as a candidate for election.
The science around climate change is clear and I want to make a positive difference by showing leadership in my local community. I want to see a new kind of politics where elected officials work together, to put the interests of their community and local environment ahead of the interests of political parties.
>[?We need to change how we live, adapting to climate change by investing in renewable energy and programmes of cheap home insulation, management of clean water, recycling plastics, low-tech local transport systems, healthy living and a revitalised NHS. We are a rich country, full of ideas, we should be leading the way in this!
